Eunice Biritwum is a seasoned executive in the electric utility and related industries with experience in Ghana and the United States of America, and is the founder of Iribe Energy, a consulting firm providing services to the energy sector. Her 27+ year career has included the leadership of a private power generating company, CENIT Energy Limited, where as the first employee and CEO at the company’s inception, she oversaw the development of the power plant infrastructure, commercial and technical arrangements governing operations, and the assembling of the team required to ensure the viable operations of the company. She was also a key participant in the setting up and ongoing administration of governance structures for the organization.
Eunice has been involved in the development and implementation of power infrastructure projects in Ghana as Project Director for the Tema Osonor Power Plant Project, and has held various management roles in electric utility company operations with the then Northern States Power Company (now Excel Energy) in the USA. As a global marketing manager for Cummins Power Generation she led new product development across multi-cultural project teams, and the marketing and sales of generator sets to the utility and heavy industrial business sectors worldwide.
She is a member of the Executive Women Network, a member of the Energy Commission’s Technical Committee, and served on the Industry Stakeholder Group formed to advise Ashesi University in the development of the University’s Engineering programme. She is on the Boards of some local companies in the real-estate and professional development arenas, and was a founding member of the Young Executive Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International.
Eunice holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from University of St Thomas, Minneapolis, MN
