The Executive Women Network – Ellevate club Manual and Journal Launch
Executive Women Network Unveils Mentorship Materials to Empower 500 Girls
The Executive Women Network (EWN) has taken a significant step towards empowering young girls and women by launching the Ellevate Club Manual and Journal in Tamale. The event, which was held on June 13th and 14th, 2025, brought together students, educators, and community leaders to mark an important milestone in EWN’s mission to nurture tomorrow’s leaders.
Empowering Young Leaders
The Ellevate Club Manual and Journal are designed to equip young girls with the tools and resources needed to succeed. These materials will be used to mentor 500 girls across various schools, providing them with leadership skills, confidence, and a growth mindset. According to Joyce Agyare, a Board Member of EWN, the year-long mentorship program aims to benefit girls from five second-cycle schools.
A Collaborative Effort
EWN’s Tamale and Accra team worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the launch, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to them for their dedication and passion. The participation of local schools and students was instrumental in making the event a success.
Empowerment through Mentorship
The launch of the Ellevate Club Manual and Journal is part of EWN’s broader initiative to empower young girls and women. Similar initiatives have been undertaken by other organizations, such as the Ministry of Finance’s Women’s Mentoring Programme and the African Women Leaders Network (AWLN) Ghana Chapter’s mentoring sessions for school girls. These efforts highlight the importance of mentorship in promoting gender equality and empowering women to take on leadership roles.
