Executive Women Network Participates in Policy Convening on Women’s Economic Empowerment

As part of its commitment to collaboration and advancing opportunities for women, the Executive Women Network (EWN) participated in a high-level policy convening on Financial Inclusion and Financial Digitalisation under the Promoting Effective Policies for Women’s Economic Empowerment in Ghana (WEE-Ghana) project held on Wednesday, 30th April 2026 at the Accra City Hotel.

The convening brought together key stakeholders, policy actors, researchers, institutions, and organisations committed to advancing women’s economic empowerment and strengthening inclusive financial systems in Ghana.

The engagement focused on examining the realities, opportunities, and challenges surrounding financial inclusion and financial digitalisation, particularly as they affect women’s participation and advancement in the economy.

Discussions during the convening focused on:

– Women’s experiences with financial inclusion and digital financial systems
– The gender dimensions of access, usage, and economic outcomes
– Insights from ongoing research and stakeholder engagements
– Policy implications for strengthening inclusive and responsive financial systems
– Advocacy opportunities to support women’s economic empowerment in Ghana

The dialogue provided a valuable platform for participants to exchange ideas, share experiences, and contribute recommendations toward building more inclusive financial systems that respond effectively to the realities and needs of women.

EWN remains committed to contributing to national conversations, strategic collaborations, and policy engagements that promote women’s economic advancement, leadership, and inclusion across all sectors.
